La Ofrenda de Flores – The Flower Offering

The emotional centrepiece of the Fiestas del Pilar is the Ofrenda de Flores on 12 October — an extraordinary procession in which hundreds of thousands of participants dressed in traditional Aragonese and regional costumes bring flowers to the Basilica del Pilar.

The flowers are arranged by specialists around the statue of the Virgen del Pilar in the basilica's square, creating an enormous floral mantle covering the statue.
