Feria de Abril Sevilla 2026: Your Complete Guide
Casetas, flamenco, horse parades, and all-night dancing in Spain's most glamorous festival
What is the Feria de Abril?
The Feria de Abril (April Fair) is Seville's biggest annual celebration and arguably the most glamorous festival in all of Spain. For six days, the city transforms its fairground into a magical city of over 1,000 casetas (tents), where sevillanos and visitors eat, drink, dance flamenco, and celebrate until dawn. The Feria traditionally takes place two weeks after Semana Santa.
Dates: April 21–26, 2026
The Feria officially begins on Tuesday, April 21 with the spectacular Alumbrado — the moment when thousands of paper lanterns and the monumental gateway are illuminated at midnight. The fair runs through Sunday, April 26, closing with a fireworks display.

What to Expect
Casetas (tents)
The heart of the Feria. Over 1,000 casetas line the streets of the Real de la Feria, each decorated in Andalusian style. Most casetas are private (owned by families, businesses, or social clubs), but some are public — look for "caseta municipal" signs. Inside every caseta: flamenco music, fino sherry, tapas, and dancing sevillanas.
Paseo de Caballos (Horse Parade)
Each morning and early afternoon, beautifully dressed riders and horse-drawn carriages parade through the fairground. Women ride in stunning traje de flamenca dresses, men in traditional traje corto suits. It is one of the most photogenic spectacles in Spain.
Calle del Infierno (Hell Street)
The fairground's amusement park section — rides, games, and carnival attractions. Perfect for families and a great place to spend time between caseta visits.
Bullfights at La Maestranza
The Feria coincides with Seville's most important bullfighting season. La Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla hosts daily corridas featuring top matadores.
What to Wear
Dress code matters at the Feria. Women traditionally wear the traje de flamenca — a colorful, polka-dotted flamenco dress with accessories. Men wear the traje corto (short jacket, high-waisted trousers, boots) or a regular suit. Even as a visitor, making an effort to dress well will be appreciated.
Daily Schedule
Morning (11am–2pm): Horse parade, lighter atmosphere, great for photos and walking around the casetas.
Afternoon (2pm–8pm): Casetas fill up with locals having lunch, drinking rebujito (sherry mixed with lemonade), and socializing.
Evening & night (8pm–dawn): The real party begins. Sevillanas dancing, live music, and celebrations that run until sunrise.
